The 8th of July 2023 was the first official public ministry for God Equip Ministries at Jordan House old age home in collaboration with the Wykes Foundation who arranged lunch for the residents.
I personally had a blessed time getting to minister to and thereafter assisting to serve the residents.
I ministered a message that i titled, “YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN ” from the following portion of scripture.
“Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!
Isaiah 49:15 NLT
We give God all the glory for those who responded to the altar call and give Him thanks for the opportunity to pray over and for the residents.
I loved the humour of one of the residents in a wheelchair that said to me ;”Thank you waiter,” in Afrikaans, as I collected the empty soup bowls before the meal was served.
I laughed and responded:” That’s what the work of a minister is, to serve the people ” Lord may I never forget that and have a servants heart instead of expecting to be served.
May the Lord bless and prosper the team from the Wykes Foundation that came and assisted as well as the work they do in and around the community.
Please keep myself and God Equip Ministries in prayer as we embark on the call to fulfill the mandate the Lord has placed on my heart.
